Hello everyone!

Today, I want to share an incredible journey I embarked on with ChatGPT. This journey involved revamping my digital presence, from my website to my social media accounts, setting up Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager, and creating Ad accounts on social media platforms. And the best part? I did it all myself, with no prior knowledge, guided every single step of the way by ChatGPT. I don’t have a big website, but the size didn't matter.

Note: At the end of this article, you'll find a practical example of how you can instruct ChatGPT and how it can assist you!

Now, let's delve into the details of this fascinating journey and see what YOU also are capable of achieving right this day.

I have pretty much no idea myself on how to achieve this and it wouldn't be possible without ChatGPT. Or it could, but that would have taken days or weeks, I would need to hire someone to update my website, creating Google analytics accounts etc, and plus I would have to pay quite a few bucks. Just imagine what it would cost to hire someone to fix all this.

I completed it in approximately 8 hours, spread over two days. This includes the time I spent reading, learning, and understanding every step of the process. It's remarkable how much faster and easier learning becomes when using ChatGPT.

And this is just scratching the surface. You can do way more advanced changes without even knowing what you are doing. That's how crazy this is.

Now, let's get into the details of my journey.

Website Revamp

The first step was to update my website. With the help of ChatGPT, I was able to identify areas of improvement and implement changes. We started by analyzing the website's metadata, ensuring that the title, description, and keywords were optimized for search engines. We also updated the website's content, ensuring that it accurately reflects my current interests. This included updating my bio and the descriptions of my work. Note: I still haven’t updated the images in my portfolio yet. I will let ChatGPT handle that for me by extracting the info, adding what needs to be changed, and exporting it back to the images. That task is set to be executed next week.

Social Media Update

Next, we moved on to my social media accounts. I updated my Facebook Page's name and bio to align with the changes made on my website. I'm still waiting for Facebook to make the change. ChatGPT helped me craft a concise yet comprehensive bio that fits within Facebook's character limit. That also includes my other social media.

Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager

This was the part I was most apprehensive about. I had no prior experience with Google Analytics or Google Tag Manager, and I wasn't sure where to start. But with ChatGPT, I was able to navigate these platforms with ease. We started with Google Analytics, where I learned how to create a new property, link it to my website, and understand the data it provides. Then, we moved on to Google Tag Manager. ChatGPT guided me through the process of creating tags and triggers, which are essential for tracking specific actions on my website.

Facebook Ads Manager

Lastly, we tackled the Meta Business Suite dashboard, Facebook Ads Manager, etc. I learned how to create a new Ad account, set up a Facebook Pixel, and ensure that my billing information and account roles were correctly set up and more.

Wrapping up

This journey took us approximately 8 hours, spread over two days including me learning and understanding how it's all connected. It's hard to believe that I was able to accomplish all this in such a short time. Without ChatGPT, this process would have taken me several days, if not weeks. The most amazing part is that I didn't need to hire any external help or spend any money. I was able to do it all myself, with the guidance of ChatGPT. This experience has truly opened my eyes to the possibilities that AI offers.

I hope this post has given you a glimpse into the potential of AI and how it can revolutionize the way we work. If you're interested in trying out ChatGPT, I highly recommend it. It's a game-changer!

What will this mean for the future?

Oh, and below you'll find an example of how you can do all of this yourself. Copy it, changed it for your needs and try it out.

Until next time,

Glenn

    User:

Let's start with my webpage and all it's subpages.

    ChatGPT:

Your website, www.glennmeling.com, primarily showcases your portfolio of photographs and Photoshop work from 2010 to 2020. It also highlights your work in AI art and use cases of ChatGPT. The website is visually rich, with numerous images on display. At the end of the page, there's an option for visitors to sign up for updates.

Here are some initial suggestions for SEO improvements:

    1. Title Tag: The title tag of a webpage is one of the most important SEO factors. It should be descriptive and concise, ideally less than 60 characters. It should also include keywords that are relevant to your content. For example, "Glenn Meling - AI Art and Photography Portfolio".

    2. Meta Description: The meta description provides a summary of your webpage content. It should be compelling and include relevant keywords. For example, "Explore Glenn Meling's portfolio featuring a decade of photography and Photoshop work, along with innovative AI art and ChatGPT use cases.

    3. Image Alt Text: Since your website is image-heavy, it's important to add alt text to your images. Alt text helps search engines understand the content of your images. It's especially important for images that convey important information.

    4. URL Structure: Ensure that your URLs are SEO-friendly. This means they should be simple, concise, and include keywords. For example, www.glennmeling.com/ai-art-portfolio.

    5. Internal Linking: Linking your pages together can help search engines understand the structure of your website and can also lead to a better user experience.

    6. Content Updates: Regularly updating your website with new content can signal to search engines that your website is current and relevant.

    7. Mobile Optimization: Ensure that your website is mobile-friendly. More and more people are using their mobile devices to browse the web, and search engines favor mobile-friendly websites.

    8. Page Speed: Page loading speed is an important ranking factor. Ensure that your images are optimized and not slowing down your website.

Please note that these are initial suggestions based on the content I fetched from your website. For a more detailed analysis, it would be beneficial to use SEO analysis tools that can provide a comprehensive report on various SEO factors.

    User:

I will come back to you regarding this matter. I want to learn a little about GA4 Google Analytics. Also create a very detailed step-by-step guide on creating an GA4 Google Analytics account and how to link it to my website.

    ChatGPT:

Sure, I can guide you through the process of creating a GA4 Google Analytics account and linking it to your website. Here are the steps:

    Create a Google Analytics Account:

    1. Go to the Google Analytics website (https://analytics.google.com/).

    2. Click on "Start for free".

    3. Sign in with your Google account or create a new one if you don't have one already.

Set Up a Property in Your Analytics Account:

    1. Once you're signed in, click on "Admin" in the lower-left corner of the page.

    2. In the "Account" column, select the account to which you want to add the property.

    3. In the "Property" column, click on "+ Create Property".

    4. Enter a name for the property.

    5. Select the reporting time zone and currency.

    6. Click on "Show advanced options".

    7. Toggle on the "Create a Universal Analytics property" option.

    8. Enter your website URL.

    9. Select "Create a Universal Analytics property only".

    10. Click on "Next".

    Set Up a GA4 Property:

    1. In the "Property" column, click on "GA4 Setup Assistant".

    2. Click on "Get Started" in the "I need to create a new Google Analytics 4 property" section.

    3. Enter your website URL and name.

    4. Click on "Create Stream".

    5. You'll now see a "Measurement ID" (it starts with "G-"). This is your GA4 tracking code.

    6. Add this tracking code to your website. The process for this will depend on how your website is built. Generally, the tracking code needs to be added to every page on your website. If you're using a CMS like WordPress, there are plugins available that can add the tracking code for you.

    Verify the Setup:

    1. Once you've added the tracking code to your website, you can verify the setup in Google Analytics.

    2. In the "Realtime" report, you should start seeing data coming in once you start getting visitors to your website.

Remember, Google Analytics is a powerful tool that can provide a wealth of data about your website's performance. Spend some time exploring the different reports and features it offers. You can learn about things like where your visitors are coming from, which pages they're visiting, how long they're staying on your site, and much more.
